Concept Map that Can Help you organize your bag

One of the things I did like about school was the gear. I always enjoyed grabbing my backpack and picking up supplies for school. I really just liked to sit down and think about how I was going to organize everything in my bag. I was so excited about being on top of what I was going to be doing.

As Mike Tyson likes to say, though, everyone has a plan until you get punched in the face. While it’s always easy to start, my organization usually went downhill pretty quickly. Once things were in the bag it was like out of sight out of mind. The backpack went from being a hub of productivity and organization to a black hole where papers, pencils, and all sorts of other items would end up at the bottom of the bag. The number of papers and items would overwhelm me. I was constantly scrambling to find things, resulting in plenty of frustration.

As I got older, I realized that I needed to minimize the amount of space that I had in the bag. In doing so, I would have fewer distractions from the task I was trying to accomplish. And with less space, I was limited in how much stuff I could put in my bag. That’s when I started looking for other alternatives. It took some searching, but I stumbled upon a video from Unbox Therapy, which is a YouTube Channel all about reviewing a variety of items. In this particular case, it was a bag I’d never heard of: A Cocoon Bag.

You can take a look at the video here:

After watching the whole video, it hit me! It was like having a concept map in your bag where you can organize all of your gear. You have all of these strips of elastic that allow you to compartmentalize all of your stuff. As the bag is tightly organized, you really have to think about what items you’re going to use on a daily basis. I’ve used the bag for some time and now and it really helps with paring down to what I need.

If you’re looking for something with a smaller footprint, try the Cocoon grip. This smaller organizational piece allows you to utilize it in any bag that you might want. It also comes in different sizes depending on how much space you have or how big of a grid you want. Either way, it’s worth considering.

If you’re looking to meet this option in the middle, consider the Cocoon messenger bag. It utilizes a convenient, over the shoulder design and has a vertical compartment layout.

I have found that when it comes to my bag, less is more. #EngageDyslexia
